Urbamed Projects has completed work on the Casinos Day Centre for the Elderly The building is designed on a single floor of 655m² in a U-shape.

All the construction solutions and all the materials chosen for the finishes, both exterior and interior, have been chosen for their greater durability

It is a social projectespecially designed for the care of the elderly, but which aims to be an Intergenerational Day Centrethat is, a built space in which people of different generations share services and programmes.

Thus, the vocation of the building is to be a point of interest for all the inhabitants of the town, thus fostering social cohesion among fellow citizens.

The architecture proposed for the building encourages this intergenerational condition, organizing the whole building around a large central courtyard.

The interior is also committed to interaction between generations, generating open and flexible spaces, such as the two multi-purpose and rehabilitation rooms located next to the foyer, next to each other and separated by movable partitions that allow different activities to be organized.

All the building's circulations turn towards the central courtyard, making it very easy to understand how the building works and to find one's way around, both from the inside and from the outside.

The building contains 

• Access area.
• Two multi-purpose rooms and a rehabilitation room.
• Treatment and cure room.
• Pharmacy storeroom
• Adapted toilet rooms
• A main courtyard that articulates the whole building and a side courtyard for private use, linked to the rehabilitation area.
• Two double rooms, in case any of the occupants need to be able to sleep and be attended to.
• Different rooms for installations, storage and spaces for staff and maintenance.
• Kitchen and dining room with their respective rubbish rooms and cold rooms. 
• Installation and cleaning rooms, as well as staff changing rooms.
