We understand Corporate Social Responsibility as the voluntary integration of social and environmental concerns in our business operations and our relationships with our stakeholders.

At URBAMED, we join the initiatives that comprise the Sustainable Development Goals, defined by the UN, which aim to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This implies a strong social commitment to our stakeholders:

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) comprise three dimensions: social, economic and environmentaL , and are organised along five axes: planet, people, prosperity, peace and partnerships.

 

In the social sphere,the focus is on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being, achieving and promoting gender equality, ensuring access to affordable, safe, sustainable and modern energy, and making cities more inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

In the economic front,it works towards inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work, building resilient infrastructure, promoting sustainable industrialisation and fostering innovation, reducing inequality and vulnerability, and ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns.

On the environment,it seeks to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all and to take urgent action to combat climate change and its effects.

POLITICS, ETHICS AND GOOD GOVERNANCE

The organization's policy allows it to maintain and improve an integrated management system,which groups together environmental quality management and Occupational Risk Prevention.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

We focus our actions on the prevention of pollution, with an emphasis on reducing the production of waste and its appropriate management and treatment.
All of this by promoting appropriate training, awareness and sensitisation of all levels of the organization with regard to respect for the environment.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Our organization has implicit resilience as a capacity to adapt, allowing us to draw up immediate strategies in order to anticipate, improve, adapt and respond to relevant changes, enabling the company to be more efficient and competitive and to become stronger in the long term.
